I was interested in the seat and you want to know more about the cross and the design of loss, please?
My grandmother was very quilting but unfortunately died before he became interested in their work. I too young to realize that the art of the quilt is something that can be transmitted and precious generation to generation. I think the cross and losses duvet is a beautiful design and want to learn more. If you know who is the source, why some colors are chosen, why the name, etc. I would appreciate any information you may have. Thank you!
Cross and losses a name for a block that was already in the years 1840. As the number of blocks, and Las Cruces name is a loss of biblical reference. Unfortunately, history does show information is often not available because that until recently was seen here as the decorative and utilitarian padded, not something that should be documented as a historical reference. There were articles in The Quilter magazine in September and November 2003, which may have further information. Ask your Library numbers.
